The Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Science offers extensive courses in continuing medical education (CME) in each ophthalmic subspecialty. Dr. Peter S. Hersh is program director and Ms. Kim Johnson is course coordinator. Year-round CME-1 and CME-2 courses are offered in macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, keratoconus, oculoplastics and orbital reconstruction, diseases of the orbit, pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, glaucoma, and vision screening. In addition to CME courses, a Grand Rounds Guest Lecture Series is also offered for CME-1 credit.
