In addition to medical, laser, and surgical treatments for glaucoma, this service has expertise in treating refractory and complex cases that require surgery. The Glaucoma Diagnostic Laboratory provides state-of- the-art diagnostic services for imaging of the optic nerve and nerve fiber layer, and performs functional testing of vision. Current research efforts are aimed at developing new techniques for the treatment and control of this chronic condition. With high-definition optical coherence tomography, scanning laser polarimetry, scanning laser topography, and simultaneous stereoscopic imaging cameras, we have full capabilities to investigate optic nerve, nerve fiber layer, and macular diseases.
